Kym's practice is devoted to helping employers through providing advice and counsel, performing workplace investigations, and representing clients in litigation. She provides advice and counsel on personnel issues such as hiring, leaves of absence, compensation, discipline, disability, and employment classifications. She also drafts, revises, and updates employment policies and procedures. Further, Kym provides employee training on topics related to sexual harassment, bullying, and privacy.
Kym has extensive experience representing employers in all aspects of litigation and in a variety of legal claims including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour matters, employee classification issues, retaliation, and breach of contract. She has successfully represented clients in state and federal court, mediation, and in administrative proceedings at the DFEH, DLSE, EEOC, and the NLRB. Kym also represents household employers in claims arising under the Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights, including claims made by nannies, elder care providers, and other household employees.
Kym was previously an associate with Gordon & Rees, and with Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton.
Outside of the office, Kym enjoys spending time with her family, including her two dogs. She also loves taking road trips, visiting farmers markets, and watching live music.
