Associate Employment Attorney

 

We’re hiring! Associate Employment Attorney with Great Work-Life Balance:

This role entails providing expert advice and counsel to employers on California employment law, conducting thorough and unbiased workplace and Title IX investigations, and delivering engaging workplace trainings. You will leverage your legal expertise and emotional intelligence to navigate complex workplace issues, ensuring objective and compliant outcomes for our clients. This is a remote role based in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Our attorneys are Association of Workplace Investigators - Certificate Holders, and the firm sends all new attorneys to the Association of Workplace Investigators Institute within the first 12 months of employment.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school and an active license to practice law in California.

  • 3-6 years of experience practicing California employment law, with a focus on advice and counsel and workplace investigations.

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise investigation reports.

  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to quickly establish rapport with diverse individuals.

  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

  • Fluency in Spanish is a significant plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and counsel to employers on California employment law, including compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Conduct thorough and impartial workplace and Title IX investigations, including interviewing witnesses, reviewing documents, and preparing detailed reports.

  • Develop and deliver engaging workplace trainings on topics such as harassment prevention, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations.

  • Draft and review employment-related documents, including policies, agreements, employee handbooks, and settlement agreements.

  • Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on changes in employment law.

  • Maintain accurate and organized case files.

  • Contribute to the firm's blog and other knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent client service.
